Congratulations to the UA Women’s Rugby team this weekend at the 35th annual Battleship Rugby Tournament in Mobile, AL.

On day 1, our Crimson Tide ladies walked away with a 44 – 0 win over William Carey and a couple hard-fought losses to Kennesaw State and Florida State.

The Tide finished up the tournament with a solid 37 – 0 win over Spring Hill on Sunday.

With more than half the team being in their first semester, and everyone receiving valuable playing experience at Battleship Park this weekend, the Crimson Tide is “a force to be reckoned with” on the rugby pitch. Great job, ladies!

And RUCK TIDE!!

Spring Wrap-up 2013

Spring Wrap-up 2013

The UA Women’s Rugby team has finished this season’s play. After working all semester with many brand new faces and talented athletes, spring matches have come to an end. It has been wonderful watching every single one of you grow as players, leaders, and people. I hope you all have an incredible summer, and we will see you back for 15’s in the Fall of 2013. For those of you graduating, you deeply will be deeply missed. Know you have made a significant contribution to this team. Many of you were founding members of this organization, and you should take great pride in watching as this new group takes the reigns.

We are all family. Always remember that. And come back for the Alumni Match!

Ruck Tide, y’all.
